IRONMAN California delivers an unforgettable race experience in the heart of Sacramento, combining one of the fastest courses in North America with the energy and charm of California’s capital city.
Athletes begin with a 2.4-mile downriver swim in the Sacramento River, followed by a fast and flat 112-mile bike course through scenic farmland and wine country before transitioning to a spirited 26.2-mile run through Sacramento’s vibrant streets and cheering crowds. The race concludes at the iconic California State Capitol, where athletes earn the title of IRONMAN against one of the state’s most recognizable backdrops.
Beyond the finish line, Sacramento offers a vibrant mix of local cuisine, culture, and outdoor adventure for athletes and supporters alike. This is California Dreamin’: where fast racing, iconic California scenery, and unforgettable finish-line moments create the ultimate IRONMAN experience.
