Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing Program

The HUD-Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) program combines Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) rental assistance for homeless veterans with case management and clinical services provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). VASH rental assistance is targeted by HUD and the VA to communities with a high number of homeless veterans.

How to Apply

Potential VASH applicants are referred to SHRA by the VA. If you are a homeless veteran needing housing please contact the Veteran’s Homeless Hotline at 1-877-4AID-VET (877-424-3838). Low-income Veterans, regardless of their housing status, are also eligible to apply for other affordable housing waitlists and are encouraged to do so.
