Getting A Bed (Men Only)
Sign-ups are nightly at 5:30 PM and are conducted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
NEWCOMERS are given first priority. (Newcomer: someone who has never stayed
overnight or has not stayed overnight for at least one year).
- Must have a Photo ID and TB Card.
- Must claim bed between 6:30 PM β 6:45 PM daily.
- Beds can be claimed for up to 7 days and must attend the 7:30 PM Chapel Service.
Newcomers and repeaters will be assigned a work duty as needed. Those who miss work detail forfeit their bed.
Wake-up times are: Monday β Friday 6:00 AM
Saturday, Sunday & Holidays 7:00 AM
If an earlier wake-up time is required, inform Contact Office upon nightly check-in.
All overnight guests must take showers.
Men without beds can also take showers in the evening.
- No food or drinks upstairs.
- No radios, cell phones, or personal items upstairs. (medication only)
- No recharging of electronic devices within the building. Use charge station in back patio.
- No loitering at the top of the stairs.
- No washing laundry in bathroom sinks.
- No towels upstairs.
- All baggage must be turned in to our secured storage unit with the assigned #.
- Beds must be made each morning. If the bed is not made, the bed will be confiscated.
- Remain upstairs next to your assigned bed until the breakfast bell.
- Pajamas are to be turned in every morning.
GENERAL RULES:
- The front gate opens at 5:30 PM.
- Chapel doors open at 6:30 PM.
- No one is allowed in after the front gate is closed at 7:30 PM.
- No alcohol, drugs, profanity, smoking, or weapons are allowed on Mission property.
- No running or pushing on Mission property.
- No loitering in the lobby of the Chapel.
- No parking on the Mission property during the day.
- No camping on Mission property.
- No food served at the Mission can be taken from the dining hall.
- Check in your bags to the secured storage unit, where you will be assigned a #.
- The Mission is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Any items left get recycled.
- Chapel Services are every night at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 11:00 AM.
- Once the preaching starts, leaving the room and re-entry is not allowed.
- Do not interrupt the speaker.
- No hats, headbands, or beanies are to be worn by men during Chapel Service.
- No eating or drinking in the Chapel.
- No use of cell phones or electronic devices during Chapel Services.
- No texting. If you have one of these devices, please turn it off at this time.
- No reading of books, magazines, or newspapers during Chapel Services.
