										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Emergency Bridge Housing at the Grove opened on June 10, 2020 and includes 24 double-occupancy sleeping cabins for homeless youth aged 18-24 years of age.&nbsp; SHRA oversees the operations of the shelter while First Step Communities manages the daily operations at the site. They also engage with the youth and coordinate robust wrap-around services to assist the youth in moving into permanent stable housing.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Referrals into Emergency Bridge Housing can be accessed at the TAY Access Point or with participating youth agencies. The TAY Access Point can be found at 815 S Street, Sacramento CA, 95811.&nbsp;To be eligible, a&nbsp;person must be 18-24 years old and experiencing homelessness.&nbsp;A person must present physically and complete an assessment prior to a referral being made. Space is limited and completion of an assessment does not guarantee admittance. Enrollments are accepted on a rolling basis. Additional eligibility criteria may apply. <p class="wp-block-paragraph">SHRA has partnered with various entities to serve the guests.</p>

<li><a href="https://sacramentostepsforward.org/"><strong>Sacramento Steps Forward (SSF)</strong></a><strong> refers homeless to be sheltered.</strong></li>
</ul>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Entry to the Meadowview Navigation Center Women’s Shelter is through a closed referral process. This project does not have a waiting list.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Getting A Bed (Men Only)</h3>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Sign-ups are nightly at 5:30 PM and are conducted on a first-come, first-serve basis.<br>NEWCOMERS are given first priority. (Newcomer: someone who has never stayed<br>overnight or has not stayed overnight for at least one year).</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Must have a Photo ID and TB Card.</li>



<li>Must claim bed between 6:30 PM – 6:45 PM daily.</li>



<li>Beds can be claimed for up to 7 days and must attend the 7:30 PM Chapel Service.</li>
</ul>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Newcomers and repeaters will be assigned a work duty as needed. Those who miss work detail forfeit their bed.<br>Wake-up times are: Monday – Friday 6:00 AM<br>Saturday, Sunday &amp; Holidays 7:00 AM<br>If an earlier wake-up time is required, inform Contact Office upon nightly check-in.<br>All overnight guests must take showers.<br>Men without beds can also take showers in the evening.</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>No food or drinks upstairs.</li>



<li>No radios, cell phones, or personal items upstairs. (medication only)</li>



<li>No recharging of electronic devices within the building. Use charge station in back patio.</li>



<li>No loitering at the top of the stairs.</li>



<li>No washing laundry in bathroom sinks.</li>



<li>No towels upstairs.</li>



<li>All baggage must be turned in to our secured storage unit with the assigned #.</li>



<li>Beds must be made each morning. If the bed is not made, the bed will be confiscated.</li>



<li>Remain upstairs next to your assigned bed until the breakfast bell.</li>



<li>Pajamas are to be turned in every morning.</li>
</ul>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>GENERAL RULES:</strong></p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>The front gate opens at 5:30 PM.</li>



<li>Chapel doors open at 6:30 PM.</li>



<li>No one is allowed in after the front gate is closed at 7:30 PM.</li>



<li>No alcohol, drugs, profanity, smoking, or weapons are allowed on Mission property.</li>



<li>No running or pushing on Mission property.</li>



<li>No loitering in the lobby of the Chapel.</li>



<li>No parking on the Mission property during the day.</li>



<li>No camping on Mission property.</li>



<li>No food served at the Mission can be taken from the dining hall.</li>



<li>Check in your bags to the secured storage unit, where you will be assigned a #.</li>



<li>The Mission is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Any items left get recycled.</li>



<li>Chapel Services are every night at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 11:00 AM.</li>



<li>Once the preaching starts, leaving the room and re-entry is not allowed.</li>



<li>Do not interrupt the speaker.</li>



<li>No hats, headbands, or beanies are to be worn by men during Chapel Service.</li>



<li>No eating or drinking in the Chapel.</li>



<li>No use of cell phones or electronic devices during Chapel Services.</li>



<li>No texting. If you have one of these devices, please turn it off at this time.</li>



<li>No reading of books, magazines, or newspapers during Chapel Services.</li>
